Kim Na Young is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress, who was born on December 18, 1992. She is a former member of the girl group gugudan, which debuted in 2016 under Jellyfish Entertainment. Na Young studied at Dongduk Women’s University and majored in voice and music.
She began her career in 2012 by participating in the Korean singing competition "Superstar K4", where she made it to the top ten contestants. Later, she released her first single “Hope and Hope” for the OST of the TV drama, “Marriage, Not Dating” in 2014. Na Young was also featured in several soundtracks for dramas and movies such as “Memory Heart” for “Come and Hug Me”, “Once Again” for “Familiar Wife”, and “I Can't Say I'm Okay” for “100 Days My Prince”.
Na Young is known for her powerful vocals and emotional performances, her song "What If It Was Going" was a huge hit in 2017. She left gugudan and her agency Jellyfish Entertainment in 2020 to pursue a solo career. She signed with WIP Company in early 2021 and is expected to release new music soon.
